Wondering where to have your photo session? The location you choose can have a huge impact on the overall look and feel of your images. There are many lovely options, but I recommend choosing a spot that best represents you and your loved ones. See below for a few of my favorite ideas!
1. A local park
If you’re looking for a natural, outdoor shoot, a local park may be the best option. Parks with gardens offer a stunning display of flowers in the spring, or consider a fall photoshoot capture the gorgeous foliage in Connecticut.
2. The beach
Is the ocean a place where you and your family feel calm, relaxed, and happy? If so, a beach session could be the perfect choice for you. These sessions evoke feelings of long summer days, wide open spaces, and the freedom of being near the ocean.
3. A farm or vineyard
Photoshoots at a farm or vineyard can give a rustic, homey feel to your photos. These sessions can be especially lovely at certain times of the year. For example, you can consider taking your photos at a pumpkin farm in the fall, a Christmas tree farm in the winter, or a vineyard when the vines are fully grown.
4. Your home
Your home can make a lovely backdrop for photos! This is the place where you likely feel the most comfortable and peaceful. It can also be helpful for kids to be in a familiar environment! These photos tend to be warm, loving, and silly, and may take place both inside your home as well as in your yard.
